Brief background summary
Before Calder Valley Radio Dave was the breakfast producer for Capital FM with Johnny Vaughan and Lisa Snowdon.

What was your first job? Do you have a funny story about it?
I was 15 years old and managed to get a job at my local Radio Station (yes, I know ... never a paperboy or worked in a shop!) In fact, because I was 15 it needed to be kept a bit quiet... I was given the 'Saturday Sports Show' on Win FM and yes ... knew nothing about sport! I mispronounced all the names of the players and waffled my way through the show for 4 hours. It lasted about a year and needless to say, I still know nothing about Sport!

What are you happiest doing when you’re not working and why?
I love listening to music, watching great movies and chilling out with my girlfriend Louise (my co-presenter - show plug!) My Dad jokes are terrible though and that really annoys her.

What’s your absolute favourite song and why?
It would have to be Damien Rice - "The Blower's Daughter" because it's in my favourite film 'Closer.' The lyrics are just beautiful and his voice is just heart-melting.

What’s your favourite album and why?
This would be an odd choice, but Keane - "Under The Iron Sea" I lived my best life in 2004 when I lived in London with Louise for a short period, I'd always have that album on my 'generic' MP3 Player when I was commuting on the Tube. The lyrics are very meaningful and I love the acoustic vibe from the Band.

What song do you hate most and why?
Whigfield - "Saturday Night". Purely because I used to do 'Discos' back in the day and no one could ever get in time with the dance routine. I used to have to shout on the Mic and get everyone in time or teach them how to do it. To this day, when the song comes on I get paranoid no one will understand how to dance anymore!

Which artist/ musician alive or dead would you most like to get a coffee (whiskey etc.) with?
Sorry, has to be Sophie Ellis-Bextor. Yes, I had a crush on her when I was a kid. I'd love to have a 'Disco' night with her and sing (not that I can!) 'Murder On The Dancefloor' ... which there probably would be if I sang!

Tell us something no one knows about you?
I was once the voice of a Mr Freeze advert (you know - those rubbish ice pops!)

What’s your most useless talent?
I can clap with one hand, more of a party trick to be fair and less impressive to the other guests.

What will finally break the internet?
A dog or cat that can actually talk. Simon Cowell would love that idea, but I love pets and would really be able to talk to either my dog or cat.

If we went to Happy Hour what would you order?
Sex on the Beach (no, that's a thing!) I always love the name of real ales as well, like ''Proper Job' just so you can ask the person behind the Bar for a 'Proper Job’.

Finally - is there anything specific you want the listeners to know about you...
I've recently had Cancer and beaten it! Thank god! Sometimes having these Health issues really makes you see how precious life really is.
